Taximeter

A taximeter is an electronic device that calculates passenger fares based on waiting time and/or distance.  The newest models of taximeters allows the driver to view their daily, weekly or monthly earnings.

The taxi owner is responsible for the inspection and validation of  the taximeter every six months or when changes have been performed to the vehicle (ie. tires and/or transmission).  The taximeter must at all time indicate the correct rate and cannot vary more than 1% compared to the fixed rate determined by the Commission.  It is the taxi owner's responsibility to use a taximeter that provides at all time a proper reading.

Inspection and validation the taximeter is avaible at Maxcomm Radio.  Maxcomm Radio offers inpection, validation, service and installation for all types of taximeters, new or second-hand.  Taximeter models include : Centrodyne 610, Pulsar 2000B, Pulsar 2010, Pulsar 2020, Pulsar 2030, Lumitronic 2500, MC1, MC2, Garvin, NG, etc.
